Principal s Intro

Dear J.H. House Students and Families, 

I am honored to continue to serve as the Principal at J.H. House Elementary School for the 24-25 School Year. I look forward to collaborating with the families and community members to make this year a success! 

I have been dedicated to the field of education for the past 15 years. During that time, I have served as a fifth grade Teacher, a Literacy Coach, an Assistant Principal, and a Proud Principal. My education includes a B.S. in Early Childhood Education/Special Education from Gordon College; a Master’s Degree in Curriculum/Instruction from Georgia Southwestern State University; a Specialist in Educational Leadership from Columbus State University; and a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Georgia. I am thrilled to continue to use my skills as an educational leader at J.H. House Elementary School and to work with you as a partner in your child’s education and accomplishments. 

Throughout my education and experiences, one thing has remained steadfast. I hold a strong commitment to students and helping them to reach their full potential. I encourage you to be involved in every way possible at J.H. House, and I invite you to reach out any time I can be of support at kvaughn@rockdale.k12.ga.us.   

Again, I look forward to our continued partnership! Our theme for the 24-25 school year is “Painting Bright Futures at J.H. House Elementary”! We could not accomplish this goal without our amazing families and community stakeholders.
